Job summary The Senior Manager, Impact will collaborate closely with the Chief Commercial & Impact Officer to develop and integrate CPC’s organization-wide impact practice, strengthening how initiatives are designed, delivered, measured and communicated, and how investment is translated into meaningful, measurable outcomes. Supporting both the Canadian Paralympic Committee (CPC) and the Paralympic Foundation of Canada (PFC), the Senior Manager will serve as a key organizational connector. They will bring expertise in impact strategy, program design, measurement and storytelling to help teams strengthen existing initiatives, develop new opportunities and demonstrate the value created for athletes, people with disabilities, communities, partners and the sport system. This is a strategic and hands-on role. The Senior Manager will lead CPC’s social value and impact measurement practice, strengthen a portfolio of priority initiatives, and help shape opportunities for corporate, philanthropic and government investment. They will also directly lead selected cross-functional initiatives and programs requiring dedicated ownership. Sitting within the Marketing & Communications team, the role will connect evidence with compelling stories and strengthen how CPC communicates its impact and influence. Type: Full-time Salary: $78,000- $90,000 annually plus benefits Reports: Chief Commercial & Impact Officer Location: Remote within Canada, with travel to CPC head office in Ottawa for occasional in-person meetings. Main duties and responsibilities Organization-wide impact leadership Work alongside the CCIO to develop and integrate CPC’s organization-wide impact practice, establishing shared frameworks, capabilities and ways of working. Maintain an organization-wide view of CPC’s impact portfolio and provide recommendations on priorities, sequencing, investment potential, risks, and capacity. Work with program owners to strengthen intended outcomes, delivery models, measurements, and long-term sustainability. Help teams resolve barriers, connect related work, and integrate appropriate lived-experience advisory. Directly lead selected cross-functional impact initiatives and partnerships requiring dedicated ownership. Impact measurement, social value and learning Lead the development and implementation of CPC’s impact measurement and social value practice. Align CPC’s approach with relevant national and international frameworks, including the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Develop theories of change, outcomes, indicators, and practical evaluation plans for priority initiatives. Establish proportionate processes for collecting, analyzing and reporting impact evidence with program owners, Finance and external partners. Use evidence and learning to strengthen program design, inform investment decisions, and demonstrate individual, community and system-level change. Impact reporting and knowledge mobilization Build and maintain a pipeline of impact evidence and stories across CPC and PFC, covering programs, grants, athlete and participant experiences, partner contributions and broader system progress. Work with Marketing & Communications to translate evidence into accessible and respectful stories, and support the development of CPC’s annual Impact Report, case studies, impact summaries and decision materials for partners, funders, government, the Board and members. Translate research, evaluation findings and implementation learning into practical tools and recommendations for CPC and the broader sport system Cross-functional leadership Build trusted relationships across CPC and with external partners, creating clarity around responsibilities, decisions, timelines, and shared outcomes. Lead planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for assigned initiatives. Manage consultants, researchers, and evaluation partners as required. Represent CPC in selected working groups, consultations, and sector initiatives. During Games and other major events, take on an assigned cross-functional role based on organizational priorities. This may include activating strategic initiatives, supporting stakeholders and community programming, or contributing to partner and government engagement. Qualifications Seven or more years of progressive experience in social impact, strategy implementation, program development, evaluation, partnerships, or related field. Demonstrated experience strengthening complex initiatives and moving cross-functional work from concept through implementation. Experience developing theories of change, outcome frameworks, indicators, and practical evaluation approaches. Experience translating evidence and program results into clear reports, investment cases, and compelling stories. Strong strategic thinking, project leadership, analytical writing, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Experience influencing across teams and working with senior leaders, funders, corporate partners, community organizations and other complex stakeholder groups. Relevant post-secondary education and/or equivalent professional experience. The following are considered assets: Experience developing impact-led partnerships or propositions for corporate, philanthropic or government investment. Knowledge of accessibility, disability inclusion, the social model of disability, the UN Sustainable Development Goals, or social value measurement. Experience working in sport and alongside athletes, people with disabilities or lived-experience advisors. Bilingualism in English and French. WORKING CONDITIONS Remote work environment, with the successful candidate working primarily from within Canada and attending the office as needed. The CPC head office is currently located in Ottawa, Ontario. Staff based outside Ottawa will be expected to travel to Ottawa a few times each year, or as required by the role. Overnight and international travel, as well as off-site work, will be required for Games, site visits, events, and meetings. Evening and weekend work will be required during busy periods, including Games and other special events.
