Frontend Developer

Maxana is hiring a Frontend Developer on behalf of a fast-growing digital health platform in the U.S. You'll join their product engineering team as a full-time contractor, building the user-facing experiences that help members manage their health journey. This is a fully remote role open to candidates based in Latin America, working U.S.-overlapping hours. What you'll do: Build and maintain responsive, high-quality web interfaces for a consumer health platform Translate designs and product requirements into clean, performant, accessible UI Collaborate closely with product, design, and backend engineers in an agile environment Write reusable components and contribute to the team's shared component library Participate in code reviews and help maintain a high engineering bar Debug, profile, and optimize frontend performance across devices and browsers Requirements 3+ years of professional frontend development experience Strong proficiency with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript Solid command of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles Experience integrating REST and/or GraphQL APIs Familiarity with modern build tooling and Git-based workflows Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment Strong written and spoken English (daily collaboration with a U.S.-based team) Based in Latin America with reliable ability to work U.S.-overlapping hours Nice to have: Experience with Next.js or similar frameworks Experience in healthcare, wellness, or other regulated consumer products Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress) Experience with design systems and accessibility standards (WCAG) Benefits $2,200 – $2,800 USD/month, paid reliably in USD Fully remote, long-term contract engagement Direct integration with a U.S. product team shipping quickly Support from Maxana throughout your engagement Originally posted on Himalayas
