What is the Opportunity?

Aecon’s Civil East sector is a cornerstone of our construction and infrastructure operations, delivering innovative solutions to some of the most complex and impactful projects globally. Renowned for its expertise in heavy civil construction, our Civil East sector specializes in building essential infrastructure that powers economies and enhances communities.

In the Caribbean region, we are leveraging our expertise and collaborative approach to deliver world-class infrastructure projects tailored to meet the unique needs of the island communities.

We are looking for a General Labourer to support and assist the team in building construction, especially with set up, clean up and ensuring a safe working environment.

What You’ll Do Here

• Entry level position, we are willing to train the right candidate - must be able to follow instructions, have a strong work ethic, reliable, and self-motivated.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis and stand/walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to communicate with supervisors, co-workers, contractors and the general public in a courteous, professional manner at all times.
• Prepare and clean up construction sites.
• Move materials and equipment and perform demolition, excavation and compaction activities.
• Handle and distribute construction materials (e.g. load and unload vehicles with supplies, equipment and construction materials; move tools, equipment and construction materials to and from work areas; remove rubble and other debris).
• Spot for equipment operators when required.
• General site maintenance.
