Licensed Mental Health Therapist — Full-Time or Part-Time Remote · Illinois License Required We're growing our Illinois team. We're looking for therapists who want to do this work well — with a team that actually supports them. Backpack Healthcare provides mental health care for children, teens, and young adults — all online, covered by most insurance. We're clinician-led and minority-owned, and we believe the quality of care kids receive is directly tied to how well we support the people delivering it. Whether you're looking for full-time stability or part-time flexibility, we have a place for you on our Illinois team. What this role looks like You'll carry a caseload of 15–36 sessions per week depending on whether you choose part-time or full-time. Most of our clinicians work weekday afternoons and evenings (2–9 PM), with weekend availability a plus. Strong referral flow means consistent income from the start. Day-to-day you'll: Conduct intakes and build client-centered, trauma-informed treatment plans Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team — therapists, PMHNPs, and psychiatrists working together Maintain timely documentation in our EHR Support families with education and care coordination, not just the child in the room What we offer $65/billable hour — LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT (independently licensed) Medical, dental, and vision (full-time eligible) 401(k) with 3% company match Paid time off $300 annual CEU reimbursement Free clinical supervision for eligible licenses $25,000 company-paid life insurance Employee Assistance Program Pathways into clinical leadership, including our Residency & Fellowship Program What we're looking for Active Illinois license: LCPC, LMFT, or LCSW Experience with children, teens, and families Comfortable working independently in a remote setting Committed to trauma-informed, culturally responsive practice Who we are We've served 12,000+ kids and families since 2020. 78% of families report their child is doing better after three months.
