Job Summary Technical Applications/Systems Analyst Job Title: Technical Applications/Systems Analyst LCAT Levels Supported: BPA1 / BPA2 (Mid-to-Senior tier; BPA1 for advanced analysis/lead support; BPA2 for core operational support) Position Summary: The Technical Applications/Systems Analyst performs detailed analysis, requirements definition, configuration, testing, and sustainment of health IT applications and systems. This role enables effective interoperability, integration, and optimization of clinical and administrative solutions in alignment with OIP PWS and VA enterprise priorities. Primary Responsibilities Analyze business, functional, and technical requirements for applications and systems supporting interoperability and clinical workflows. Develop user stories, functional specifications, data models, interface control documents, and test plans; support gap analysis and workflow modeling. Assist with system configuration, integration testing, validation, issue troubleshooting, and performance monitoring (e.g., APIs, data exchanges, EHR interfaces). Contribute to documentation, training materials, status reports, and data-driven dashboards for stakeholders and PMO oversight. Collaborate with architects, developers, and cross-functional teams in agile/SAFe environments to deliver enhancements and resolve incidents. Support compliance activities, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives for application reliability and security. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Health Informatics, Business Analysis, or related field. 5–8+ years of experience in technical systems/applications analysis, preferably in federal healthcare or VA settings (higher end for BPA1). Proficiency with health IT standards (HL7, FHIR), EHR platforms, SQL/data tools, requirements management (Jira/ServiceNow), and analytics/visualization software. Certifications such as CSM, SAFe PO/PM, or CBAP preferred. Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork abilities. About Aptive About Aptive .
