Job Description

DIRECTOR, VALUE REALIZATION – CHESTERFIELD, MO or REMOTE About Us TAG is a healthcare business intelligence firm that helps health systems save money and make better purchasing and payment decisions across the procure-to-pay (P2P) lifecycle. For over 35 years, we've partnered with healthcare organizations to reduce supply chain costs through data analytics, contract expertise, and operational consulting. Our team combines analytical thinking with a passion for helping hospitals maximize every purchasing dollar. The Opportunity Healthcare organizations spend millions each year on specialty products where physician preference, clinical outcomes, and financial performance intersect. TAG helps clients navigate that complexity through data-driven contract intelligence, rebate optimization, specialty RFP strategy, and value analysis. As Director of Value Realization, you will serve as TAG's clinical contracting leader, partnering with health systems, physicians, supply chain leaders, and executives to strengthen contracting strategies, improve financial performance, and guide some of TAG's most strategic client engagements. You will combine clinical credibility with financial insight to influence executive decisions, strengthen client relationships, and play a key role in the continued evolution of TAG's ContractIQ, RebateIQ, specialty RFP, and value analysis services. This is a strategic leadership role, not an individual contributor position. You will establish direction for analytical teams, support client strategy, and help transform complex data into meaningful action. If you are passionate about improving clinical and financial outcomes while leading strategy across multiple client engagements, you will thrive in this role. This position may be based remotely within the United States or in a hybrid arrangement from our Chesterfield, MO office. Periodic travel to client sites, conferences, and the corporate office will be required. Duties & Responsibilities Lead Value Realization Strategy: Guide specialty RFPs, physician-preference contracting, and negotiation preparation. Oversee ContractIQ & RebateIQ Engagements: Provide strategic direction for contract intelligence, rebate validation, and supplier compliance initiatives. Drive Value Analysis: Partner with physicians, clinicians, finance, and supply chain leaders to evaluate product standardization and total cost of ownership. Partner with Dedicated Analytics Team: Direct analytical priorities while ensuring client deliverables are clinically sound and strategically actionable. Support Business Development: Assist Sales and AOEs with discovery, solution design, specialty contracting expertise, and executive presentations. Strengthen Client Relationships: Serve as a trusted advisor to healthcare executives, clinicians, and supply chain leaders. Drive Innovation: Help develop new consulting methodologies, analytics, and software capabilities supporting healthcare contracting. Qualifications, Skills, & Abilities Required: Clinical background or clinically fluent experience in a health system (e.g., RN, clinical operations, or value-analysis leadership), with credibility in front of physicians and clinical committees. 5+ years of experience in healthcare value analysis, supply chain, or contract management within a health system, GPO, IDN, or medical device / supplier environment. Command of healthcare contracting and specialty / physician-preference RFPs: GPO vs. local agreements, tiers and thresholds, rebates, exclusions, and compliance obligations. Experience supporting sales or client engagement (discovery, specialty RFPs, proposals) and translating analysis into client-facing recommendations. Strong analytical fluency with spend, pricing, and contract data, and the ability to direct an analyst / insights team rather than execute every piece personally. Excellent written and verbal communication, comfortable presenting to clinical, supply-chain, finance, and executive audiences. Preferred: Experience on or leading a hospital value-analysis committee. Familiarity with physician-preference categories (cardiac rhythm, ortho, endomechanical, and similar) and clinical-equivalency evaluation. Exposure to contract-intelligence and rebate-management platforms such as RebateIQ and ContractIQ or comparable P2P analytics tools. Experience producing client-facing deliverables and executive summaries in a consulting or solutions setting. Key Competencies Clinical credibility paired with financial and contractual rigor. Outcome-first thinking: every recommendation tied to financial impact, risk reduction, or process improvement. Partner mindset, operating as an extension of both the client’s team and TAG’s Sales, Operations, and Insights functions. Comfort setting strategic direction and reviewing work, then moving to executive-level storytelling, without owning every detail of execution. Performance Measures (First 90 Days) Take ownership of strategic oversight for active RebateIQ and ContractIQ engagements with no disruption to delivery. Establish a clear working rhythm with the Analyst & Insights team and a shared standard for contract and rebate work product. Support at least one specialty RFP and one client value-analysis or contract-optimization conversation end to end. Embed as the clinical and contracting point of support for Sales, AOEs, and Operations. Why TAG? Join a growing organization where you will influence client strategy, help shape new service offerings, and play a key role in the evolution of healthcare value realization. This is an opportunity to build something meaningful while collaborating with an experienced team committed to improving healthcare purchasing. TAG CORE VALUES Integrity – Do what’s right, always. Service – Prioritize clients, colleagues, and mission with care and value. Teamwork – Collaborate openly, respect differences, and achieve shared goals. Growth Mindset – Embrace change, learn, improve. Accountability – Own it. Deliver it. TAG offers full benefit packages, bonus and performance incentives, professional development opportunities, and hybrid remote work flexibility. TAG, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination or harassment of any kind. Salary: $95,000 - $150,000 per year Originally posted on Himalayas
