Position: Art Theory Expert Type: Contract Compensation: $67–$75/hour Location: Remote Commitment: 20 hours/week Role Responsibilities Author technical tasks to evaluate AI model performance in art history and art theory . Review and annotate problem sets grounded in artworks, compositional analyses, and historical imagery. Write reference solutions and apply structured quality checks to ensure accuracy. Collaborate with AI research teams to improve task quality and throughput. Work independently and asynchronously with a flexible schedule to meet deadlines. Qualifications Must-Have PhD in Art History or Art Theory , or MA in Art History with 3+ years teaching, curatorial, or research experience, or BA in Art History with 5+ years teaching, tutoring, or applied curatorial experience. Working fluency in at least two of: art history periods, critical theory, visual analysis, curatorial practice, conservation. Comfortable reading and interpreting artworks, compositional analyses, and historical imagery. Clear technical writing; able to articulate reasoning step-by-step in written form.
